BuzzFeed Sponsored Shopping Post

In my role as the lead designer on BuzzFeed's Partnerships team, my primary responsibility is to develop branded products that can be efficiently sold and scaled to numerous clients. The Look Book emerged as a sophisticated branded post, specifically designed to captivate fashion and beauty brands. Previously, we were unable to secure sales from these clients due to the absence of shopping products that exuded a glossy and enjoyable experience, similar to a digital magazine.

Visual Design

Showing off client imagery and products was the number one goal for this visual design. We utilized a product carousel that made browsing and shopping easy. I also incorporated room for full bleed imagery and pops of color, making this feel like a modern, elevated version of the BuzzFeed brand that could be scalable to any client.

The Result

Look book launched in September 2022 and we received great responses from our clients and sellers on the elevated look and feel. Within the first month our branded look book sales were around $300k.

The CMS

With the launch of look book I also designed how this post format would be created in the BuzzFeed CMS. Any of our editorial writers can go in the CMS and create one of these posts without having to ask for help from engineers or designers.
