During the pandemic my client, Pilot Flying J, took initiatives to make their travel centers safer for their guests. I led design on a contactless payment project that would allow users to pay and start the gas pump directly from their phone. Our users, mainly truck drivers, were essential workers who had to continue their jobs in the pandemic to keep American running. Because of this, it was important that I understood what our users needed during this uncertain time. Through many rounds of iterations and virtual usability testing we created a user experience that was easy to use and allowed our audience to feel as though people were looking out for them.
